In January 1992, Satendra Singh joined the Samajwadi Party, a political party led by Mulayam Singh Yadav. He was District President of Samajwadi Party Youth wings and participated in many movements organised by Samajwadi Party.
He resigned from Samajwadi Party primary membership on 28 March 2001. And Joined Bhartiya Janta Party through Gen V K Singh MP Ghaziabad in 2014.
